Navigating Challenges: The First Weeks at 4C Insights

Introduction Starting strong at a new company is crucial. In this post, I delve into the initial challenges I faced at 4C Insights, how I tackled them, and the strategies I used to make a positive impact.

Understanding the Product One of my first tasks was understanding why 4C’s video product wasn’t gaining traction. Shadowing Gillian on a sales call with the Red Lobster team highlighted a significant gap—the product lacked automation, which competitors like The Trade Desk offered.

Learning from Failure The call with Red Lobster was a disaster. Their feedback highlighted the need for automatic adjustments during campaigns, something 4C’s tool didn’t offer. This insight was invaluable. I didn’t interrupt Gillian’s call but took extensive notes and followed up with my network to understand this gap better.

Adapting Strategies I realized that planning the right shows to buy ads was only part of the equation. The ability to manage campaigns dynamically was crucial. I reached out to video buyers from my Innovid days to gather more insights and began formulating strategies to address these gaps.
