The Leap into 4C Insights: A New Chapter in Ad Tech

Introduction My journey with 4C Insights began with a significant career shift. I was brought in to sell video technology but quickly transitioned to focusing on social media advertising. This story begins with my preparation for the role and the initial challenges I faced.

The Beginning Mark Sneathen, SVP Sales and hiring manager, was looking for sellers with video experience. My background at Innovid made me a good fit for the challenge. Preparing for the arrival of my son, Luke Steele, born via a surrogate, I needed stability and a paycheck. With Mark’s belief in my abilities, fueled by Andrew Feigenson’s endorsement, I felt compelled to prove myself.

The First Day Walking into 4C Insights in Chicago was a stark contrast to my previous experience at MRI-Simmons. The office was filled with young, energetic individuals, making me feel both old and out of place. Imposter syndrome hit hard. Why did Mark think I could do this? It had been five years since I last worked with video technology.

Making an Impact One thing my mentor Andrew Feigenson taught me was the importance of making an impact within the first 90 days. To prepare, I started my 90-day plan well before my official start date. I reached out to old contacts, reintroduced myself to the industry, and gauged their interest in 4C Insights' offerings. This proactive approach set the stage for my success.
